Prophetic Inspiration - 27th October, 2025

Most days I am a powerhouse, able to do extraordinary things and what would be impossible to most people, but some days, I struggle to even get out of bed, and today was one of those days.

With so much to do and so little time, I often find myself feeling the need to work every minute of every day, ignoring my personal needs, ignoring my spiritual needs and ignoring even the Sabbath, in favour of cramming in more time.

And whilst this has always proved to be counter-productive, I have struggled to learn the lesson that God is wanting to teach me.

In times like this, I find that the Sovereign LORD, in His great wisdom, disconnects me by pulling out my power supply, which I often forget comes from Him, rendering me unable to do anything.

At the time, I don't see it that way and I beat myself up for being unable to function, but in writing this blog, I am being show the light and the dark, and God in all His glory is showing me the error of my ways and how to self-correct.

Looking Within

As I think about what's going on internally, searching my hard drive for bugs and de-fragging, I begin to be aware of the errors in my programming that lead to burn out, and the frazzling, frenzy and freezing of my emotions.

I have disobeyed God's commands, failing to rest on the Sabbath, failing to thank God for all my blessings that He so lovingly and lavishly pours out for me, and failing to recharge my batteries in areas that bring music to God's ears.

I am troubled by the world and looking for comfort in all the wrong places, in food, in trying to work harder, in the news, and none of these things bring me peace.

These are the days when I need to lean on the LORD, crying out to Him from the depths of my soul, asking Him to intercede for me when I know not what to pray and searching His word for answers.

And as I lay my burden down at His feet, dragging myself to the altar of humility, wringing my wretchedness out like a limp wet rag, in my weakness He comes to me, He comforts me and He wraps me in His cocoon of love, holding me close and caressing my furrowed brow.

Consumed By Anguish

Rescue is emotionally, physically, mentally, financially and spiritually draining, and this, combined with the troubles of the world, is a lot for one woman to bear and sometimes I am consumed by anguish.

But those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. (Psalm 34:10)

The LORD delivers the weak in times of trouble, He protects and preserves them - He does not give them over to the desire of their foes. The LORD sustains them on their sickbed and restores them. (Psalm 41:1-3)

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. (Hebrews 12:11)

I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does not triumph over me. Because of my integrity you uphold me and set me in Your Presence forever. (Psalm 41:11-12)

Building The Ark

In my distress, having taken out my frustrations on Morgen, our pace having collectively ground to a halt, he pondered my struggle during lunch, having witnessed my unmoving and unmotivated body all weekend, sitting on the couch unsuccessfully trying to manage my pain.

After lunch, he popped his head round the door and talked to me about our journey to the Promised Land and where we are up to in the struggle, reminding me of other heroic biblical figures who also had to sacrifice for long periods as they built their foundations on rock.

He reminded me about Jacob being sent away to his uncle's home and having to stay there until his brother's fury subsided, as Esau planned on killing him. (Genesis 27:41-44)

Whilst this was a hardship and a sacrifice for Jacob, for far longer than he realised or intended, and which wasn't his plan at all, he built his family and his following whilst in service, returning many years later with great wealth.

And Noah who was no doubt ridiculed for building the ark in a dry land in obedience to God's prophecy of a global flood, which must have seemed impossible and foolish to others, which is exactly what we are doing now.

Crossing The Jordan

Morgen reminded me of how the Israelites complained about Moses for having taken them out of Egypt, often in response to the hardships they faced in the desert, but Moses pointed out that they were ultimately complaining against God.

Their complaints revealed a deep lack of faith and trust in God's plan and leadership and even after witnessing God's miracles, like the parting of the Red Sea, they quickly forgot God's deliverance and focused on the immediate difficulties of the desert.

In one instance, they asked why the LORD had brought them out of Egypt only to fall by the sword, and questioned if it would be better to return to Egypt, to slavery, out of fear of the unknown.

The similarities cannot be denied, I did not choose this path, rescuing animals is a mission I've been sent on that I've had to embrace, the desert is harsh terrain and I'm hungry and thirsty for recognition, reward and recompense.

I have questioned God's motives, instead of realising that He is refining me in His fire, purifying me with His launders soap (Malachi 3:2-3) and preparing me to travel on His Highway of Holiness, leading me into His Promised Land.

Slaying The Giants

When I look ahead of me, at everything I need to do, I often feel overwhelmed at the challenge, it seems enormous and it's daunting and I constantly have to calm my heart and nervous system to steady myself.

When the Israelites were faced with Goliath, they fled from him in great fear (1 Samuel 17:24), seeing themselves as incapable due to his great size.

But David, who had been anointed by God to be king of Israel, and from that day, the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon him (1 Samuel 16:12-13), despite the fact that he was little more than a boy (1 Samuel 17:42), told Saul that he would go and fight him. (1 Samuel 17:32)

David was not afraid because he knew that the LORD who had rescued him from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear, would rescue him from Goliath's hand (1 Samuel 17:37) and he killed him with a sling and one perfectly aimed stone. (1 Samuel 17:50)

It is the same for everyone who God sends to achieve His purpose, God is always with us, in our midst, He will never forsake us, He will light our way and go before us, and like Esther, perhaps we were born for such a time as this. (Esther 4:14)

Paper Tigers

The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10), and what better time than when we are weary and weak.

He steals our joy, our energy and our courage, he tries to kill our mission, our momentum and our mental state and he goes to great lengths to destroy what we have built and what we are building.

The devil was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44)

The great dragon was hurled down - that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. (Revelation 12:9)

God made us the head and not the tail (Deuteronomy 28:13), we must see the enemy's lies for what they are and we must crush him like a paper tiger and throw him into the fire, taking back our authority and refusing to yield.

God's Time

We cannot move any faster than the time that God has allocated, and He has His own time, His appointed time, and a time for everything under the sun.

God is leading us through the River Jordan, He is parting the waves and we are moving as He directs.

Our full trust is in the Sovereign LORD, the bible is full of laments from heroes of note, the journey is not easy, it requires great boldness and courage, but God is with us and He will deliver us onto dry land.

We must see the enemy for the deceiver that he is, the enemy wants us to fail, fall and flush our dreams down the toilet, because he knows that what we are doing is powerful, but we will not bow down and must crush his head with our foot.

And as we gather ourselves, to begin again, again, we are commanded to be strong and courageous, and not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD our God will be with us wherever we go. (Joshua 1:9)

A Thorn In The Flesh

Paul came to the Corinthians in weakness with great fear and trembling.

His message and his preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that our faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God's power. (1 Corinthians 2:3-5)

God's wisdom is a mystery that has been hidden, it is revealed to us by the Spirit.

"What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" - the things that God has prepared for those who love him - these are the things God revealed by His Spirit. (1 Corinthians 2:7-10)

Paul was given a thorn in his flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment him and keep him from becoming conceited (2 Corinthians 12:7), but Christs power rests on us when we are weak. (2 Corinthians 12:7-9)

A Time For Everything

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

King Solomon asks, what do workers gain from their toil? He has seen the burden God has laid on the human race. (Ecclesiastes 3:9-10)

He knows that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction win all their toil - this is the gift of God. (Ecclesiastes 3:12-13)

He saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work, because that is their lot (Ecclesiastes 3:22) in this lifetime.

And with this, I look for ways to move from endurance to enjoyment, from pain to pleasure, from hunger and thirst to being satiated, from lack to abundance and from curse back to blessing, by honouring myself, honouring the LORD and honouring His commands.

Delivery Into The Promised Land

When every dog and cat that is to be re-homed, is re-homed, we will have crossed over into the Promised Land.

The only person who is stopping us is us. God is with us, He said lets go, so lets go!

We must demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5)

We must not delay or tarry, we must draw close to Him, obeying His commands and trusting Him at every turn, asking God to strengthen our hands (Nehemiah 6:9), that we may continue to build His holy temple.

The land of milk and honey awaits, but before we can enjoy the fruits of our labour, we must finish what we started, finish the race and finish the enemy, cutting him down every time he raises his head.

Praise & Gratitude

Sovereign LORD, let us not forget that You are the Captain of our ship, and we are Your humble servants, looking to You to guide our steps and direct our every move, as we give everything over into Your embrace.

As you pour out Your blessings for Your people, the mountains drip new wine, the hills flow with milk and all the ravines of Judah run with water, a fountain flows out of Your house. (Joel 3:18)

Your grace upon us is like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth (Psalm 72:6), it is sufficient for us, for Your power is made perfect in weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Let us praise You LORD, who alone does marvellous deeds.

Praise to Your glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with Your glory. Amen and Amen. (Psalm 73:18-19)
