Mighty Men & Women of God!
The inspiration for this piece came after receiving truly exceptional service from Sínawo at Hirsch's, Milnerton following a decision to purchase a washing machine and dryer for my laundry room, to service all the animals who live onboard Amanda's Ark.
As quality is being crowded out by the need for a quick buck, outstanding service has become a rare commodity, and on the rare chance we are blessed to receive it, it strikes a chord.
Consequently, I felt compelled to sing Sínawo's praises to the CEO Richard Hirsch as it's important that real leaders and excellence are recognised and rewarded.
Sínawo, whose name means "We have more" stood out based on his attitude, authenticity and attention to detail, and combined with superb product knowledge, this made him a shining star.
As someone who is very discerning, demanding and doggedly determined to understand all aspects of a purchase in order to make an informed decision, I'm a very tough customer and most people can't stand up to the task, but Sínawo aced it!
Revelation at 3am!
God woke me at 3am with the content of this blog and I was so invigorated that I had no option but to get up, grab my phone from my desk, take it back to my bed and make notes!
I've been seeing YouTube videos lately about God waking people up at 3am and seemingly there is spiritual significance to this for prayer, revelation and meditation.
Some consider 3am a time of personal enlightenment and the serenity of this hour can enable us to get closer to the divine, making it an optimal time for reflection and contemplation.
There is also power in the number 3 itself as it is seen as a representation of the Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, being a symbol of the harmony created by unity.
Lastly, the spiritual meaning of waking up at 3am is associated with balance and completeness as a result of answering the call to an invitation towards self-discovery and spiritual growth.
Knowledge Is Power
Returning to Hirsch's, a household appliance is a big purchase and expense, there's a lot to think about and a lot of factors that have to be understood, taken into consideration and weighed.
Technical aspects can be overwhelming but a good sales person can explain things in simple terms and any attempts to fake this are immediately spotted by customers who know their stuff.
The failure to know the necessary detail can result in both the sales person and company losing the sale and for big ticket items, this is a catastrophic waste of an opportunity.
Having been in sales myself, it is absolutely essential for the entire Sales Team to be educated and armed with the answer to every possible question, and what they don't know, to find out.
Brand, design, simplicity, complexity, availability and cost of parts, quality, features, longevity, performance, durability, efficiency, sustainability, this granular level of knowledge and detail is the difference between success and failure, both as an individual, and a brand.
The Personal Touch
Most companies underestimate the power of the personal touch and as customers become more and more shrewd, the ability to be real is crucial.
Helpful and well-trained staff who go the extra mile to make every shopping experience a memorable one, smooth and seamless processes and making doing business a pleasure, these are the hallmarks of excellence.

Giving All The Glory To God
I have to give all the glory back to God, for both this experience, the inspiration for this blog and of course, my amazing new purchases for my dedicated laundry room which I'm super excited to receive and which is a miracle in itself.
Bearing in mind that my exceptional experience with Hirsch's began with Sínawo, it seems only fitting to end with him too, as we come full circle to the true meaning of this blog of recognising and rewarding excellence.
The Xhosa translation of the bible, KwabaseKorinte II 7:1, reads "Sínawo nje ngoko la madinga, zintánda, masizihlambulule kuko konke ukudyobheka kwenyama nokomoya sibufeza ubungcwele, sisoyika uThixo."
Which translates to in English, "Therefore, since we have these promises (God's grace), dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God." (2 Corinthians 7:1)
Finally, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things (Philippians 4:8-9) and as we put this into practice, excellence is rewarded with the peace of God.
God's Covering
As the revelation for the blog ended at around 4.30am this morning, I had a vision of prayer shawls (tallits) blowing in the wind all around and also on top, forming a protective covering.
This covering is God's covering, the shelter of the Most High, His hedge of protection, and the wind is God's breath, the breath of life, His Ruach (breath of God) and the Ruach HaKodesh (רוח הקודש), a Hebrew term that translates to Holy Spirit.
As I stacked my hands and bakkie with boxes of Easter eggs, as much as I could carry and as much as my bakkie would allow, it was filled to overflowing, symbolising God's abundant and plentiful provision.
Lastly, I found a wad of cash in an old bag I had either forgotten or didn't know about that God showed me, and then my phone pinged and I was sent a video of a steam train, representing a slow but steady delivery of blessings that were making their way over to Amanda's Ark, exactly in accordance with God's Word that he was sending me Mighty Men and Women of Valour, Honour and Substance, with more (Sínawo) in tow!
God's Holy Spirit is the divine Presence, influence and driving force behind everything, our power and blessings come from the goodness and greatness of God Himself and all the glory must be rightfully returned to the Source of all that is.
Gratitude For All Our Blessings!
In gratitude for all the blessings that God so abundantly pours out, let us remember Him as the sole provider and protector and persevere in all that we do.
That we may compete with the horses, seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well. (Matthew 6:33)
May we continue to put one another first, in an outpouring of unity, that God may continue to richly bless us, and may we bless others from a full cup and a source of plentiful abundance.
May we be redeemed, recharged and regenerated as we strive for the excellence that is required of perfection, putting God first in everything that we do.
And may we grow in family, favour and faithfulness, as we bear the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, for against such things, there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)
